“Legacy”
On October 4, 2026, at 10:30 a.m., Marilyn and Mike Mallory will be presenting a reader’s theater production of the one-act pulpit play, “Legacy,” by Mike Mallory. The play features a conversation between Mark and Marsha about what they will leave behind. Marsha is focused on the distribution of the couple’s wealth, while Mark wants to address his contribution to cultural wisdom. Mike’s play raises questions such as: Do you have some kind of message you wish you could share with the world? If so, what kind of medium or format is available for you to spread your word?

Voting Our Values
Members of Shoreline Unitarian Universalist Church held a meeting to discuss opposing three ballot measures: I-001, I-638, and I-645. The first of these two measures claim to restore parents’ rights and make girls sports more fair; in reality, they remove protections for victims of abuse, force schools to out LGBTQ+ students, and violates the privacy of girls who play sports. I-645 would repeal a tax on milionaires and would lead to a $13 billion cut in funding that would be catastrophic for schools and health care costs.
Members voted in a landslide to oppose all of these initiatives and to endorse two campaigns organized around opposing them, No Hate in WA State and NO on I-645. We'll be organizing ways for community members to take action in opposition to these initiatives soon!
