Worship
Worship is the time during the week when the entire congregation gathers together under one roof. We move out of our daily rhythms to be in community. We set down our burdens. We share in community ritual, solidifying our bonds, and honor each other's presence. We celebrate each other’s joys and hold each other's sorrows. We sing together; each voice adding to the whole.
Prayer, meditation, and silence allow us to access what is deep inside, and perhaps feel spirit move within. Worship includes time for the entire community to interact with the morning's theme. The sermon is a piece of a conversation held over time between a minister and her congregation.
Worship gives us strength and inspiration to strive for justice in our lives and the world.
